FACE VALUE

INTERACTIVE DESIGN OBJECT

I’ve always been fascinated by the conventional perceptions of currency and the value behind paper bills. This hand-crank operated rotating archive showcases 100 distinct and imaginative ways to derive value from a dollar bill beyond its traditional spending utility. Each concept is printed on counterfeit-style dollar bills, prompting viewers to contemplate the nature of value and its embodiment in a physical artifact. Through this creation, the archive encourages a reconsideration of the significance we assign to paper money, fostering a deeper exploration of its symbolic and intrinsic worth.
